The University of Barcelona is ranked the 1st Spanish university and the 33rd European institution in scientific quality and
academic productivity. It is the largest Catalan university with more
than 87.000 students and a research staff of more than 5,000 members.
Its Cultural Management Programme (CMP), created in 1989, offers courses
on cultural management, cultural policies, performing arts and festival
production, cultural tourism, etc. Since its inception, CMP has trained
over 1,500 professionals from 75 different countries, many of them with
leading responsibilities in artistic & heritage institutions. Its
innovative value makes it to research, encourage networking, organise
