The project investigates the connection between childhood games, social structure and political environment in 4 different European countries where the company is hosted thanks to the artistic residences’ program. Ispired by the several suggestions collected during the residences, the artists realize a dance choreography based on the different games’ rules. The work is realized by Koraljka Begović and Nastasja Štefanić.

The Artists

Koraljka Begović is a professional dancer, producer and yoga teacher based in Zagreb, Croatia. She studied dance at Tanzfabrik, Berlin, at the Academy of dramatic Art in Zagreb and got her MA degree in contemporary dance performance at the University of Limerick, Ireland. She collaborated with many choreographers and pedagogues in Croatia and abroad, such as Jasna L. Vinovrški, Petra Hrašćanec, Ana Mrak, Jazmin Chiodi, Martin Sonderkamp, Shai Faran etc. In the last few years she creates her own work and her pieces were shown in Croatia and Ireland. She holds BA degree in preschool education and Cultural Management. Since 2018. she is a member of Croatian freelance Association and a producer of Monoplay festival in Zadar.

Nastasja Stefanic is a professional musician, dancer, choreographer and a music and dance pedagogue based in Zagreb. She holds a BA and an MA degree in viola which she received from the Music Academy in Zagreb. She is one of the first generation of contemporary dance students at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb where she got a BA degree at the Dance department.
She makes her own pieces and also collaborates regularly with both Croatian and foreign artists. Her authorial pieces were presented at festivals in Croatia, UK, Hungary and Czech Republic. Nastasja has won numerous awards and scholarships, among them is the Rector’s award for her work Cadenza per 6.
She works as a teaching assistant at the Drama department at the Academy of Dramatic Arts.
